How To Find Life

Life is something many do not understand. Life is first within you, before it is seen without. For example, this post is a manifestation of an internal life. Philosophers have philosophized about life and what it is. Many have said it is service, and some have said existing. Purpose, has been said to be what life is. However, if life is purpose, how about those who know their purpose, but still feel the inadequacy, the need for more or that something was missing in them, and believe they'll find it on their way in fulfilling purpose?

My definition of life, is very simple. Life is not about doing anything first, it is a state of being which can only be, by humility.

Man's problem is his need or illusion that he needs to be something, because somewhere in the depths of his subconscious, he knows he is nothing and that is very unsettling. It is unsettling to know you are nothing. It sounds like humiliation, not being great or anything near it. In fact, it sounds like you are insignificant and there's nothing spectacular about you. You are as ordinary as the hawker on the street, if she really is ordinary anyway. Our perception is what has trapped us, into believing we are not enough being nothing but have to be more, to stand out, to be something. This is not life, or living, because anyone who is yet to be, isn't living.

To be, you have to let go of any form of attachment, desire to be significant, name and titles. Whatever gives you form and classifies you to be separate from all others, must be let go, including your name. Yes, humility is nothingness, and that's the path of life. You must lose all to find life. You must lose the life you think you have, that is titles, names, attachments, lineage, achievements, etc to find life.

Humility is that state of nothingness and it is beautiful because then you begin to live. You are not high up in the clouds above your head, you are down below, beneath the surface of everything.

That is where life is. It is in or with the lowly, in the lowly place, in nothingness.

Humility is indeed the path of life.
